About dual core

Both main manufacturers of cpu are now offering processors with dual core. Lets look at them.
Processor (or cpu if you want) is very complicated and sophisticated cevice with milions of logical unists inside. Until now every cpu was only single threaded (of course we are talking about pc. in some other types of computers are multi cored CPUs quite common) whitch means that cpu can do only one thing at time (not quite truth, some instructions can be done simultaneously). So os (operational system) made all running programs to stay in queue running throught cpu many times in second, positioning them there by their priority. On multicore system are simply two (or more) cpu units united on one chip whitch allows two (more) programs to be run simultaneously. Whitch can (not must) give you incredible add to speed when software you are using is optimized for more cores/processors. But even in case of totally unoptimized software you can see difference, just imagine all windows processes running on one core, and game have another one for itself.
