Remember the heyday of the great AMD-versus-Intel clash, with a sophisticated processor architecture pitted against the sheer brute force of higher clock speeds? It's happening again, but with graphics processing units instead of CPUs: After Nvidia Corp.'s impressive GeForce 7 Series release in June, archrival ATI Technologies is looking to get back in the spotlight with its own next-generation graphics card, called the Radeon X1800.
