Microsoft and Toshiba will share patents.

Biggest software producent Microsoft Company and Toshiba agreed to share their patents in sphere of computers, televisions and other visual technologies. Purpose of that agreement is to lower costs and acceleration of developement of new products. Spokesman of Toshiba told that this agreement will remove time consuming bargaining and lower patent costs when one of associates will need to use technology of other's own. Similar agreement made last year Sony and Samsung Electronics. They agreed to share their patents for faster developement of their new goods.

Intel announced new processors

Paul Otellini president of Intel corporation officially announced manes of their new prepared second generation dualcore processors. It should be Conroe (for desktop use) Merom (notebooks) and Woodcrest (cheaper servers for two processors). Conroe and Merom should be in shops during next year, and Woodcrest probably in the year after.

It seems to be pretty smart thing.
