Rambus and AMD have made deal that for next five years they will share DDR2, DDR3, FB-DIMM, XDR and PCI Express technologies, and also its about technologies coming. This is pretty importand, because it will allow AMD to use much faster memories. By Rambus deal is very good, and after those years it will be probably prolonged. Price of that deal was 70 milions dollars.
No they arent going to start manufacturing thousands tons of pcs, but they are going to mount many of them together as google's own pc, together with their software. This should be extremly cheap pc, used to browse web, and be sold in US by Wal-Mart
I want to say you i really wish you happy new year. But there is already blackl shadow over all of us, there are news, that Abit has big financial problems, and possibly is near declaring bankrupcy. If those news are true, it will make me really sad, because Abit was for many years in my eyes manufacturer no1, whose boards have both, speed and reliability together with good overclocking capability. I allways recommended those boards to people who wanted computer without problems.
